Aesop Rock – “Untouchable (AR Version)”

With The Impossible Kid looming on the horizon, Aesop Rock decides to go out of his element and drops some rhymes over Pusha T’s “Untouchable.” As someone who is unfamiliar with Pusha’s output, I had no idea what to expect. Aesop Rock is pretty consistent lyrically, so there was no need to worry about that, but this beat knocks, as well. Although the production is different from what Aesop usually writes to, he sounds amazing over the Timbaland-produced banger, and this is a great example that the occasional cross-over between indie and commercial can result in something great.

“Three’s company, Appetite for Destruction tee. Chunky Monkey, Funyuns, I can feel the cat judging me. Please, I’ve seen you eat your puke and drink the toilet water, which completely renders your opinion void, you little fucker!”
