Hatebreed – “A.D.”

A little over two weeks ago, we received word that Connecticut hardcore quintet Hatebreed was prepping the release of their seventh studio album, The Concrete Confessional. Although the album itself is still a month away, Nuclear Blast has finally released the project’s first single, “A.D.” The song was uploaded to YouTube earlier today in the form of a lyric video, and if The Concrete Confessional sounds anything like this, we’re in for a real treat. There’s a heavy political slant in Jasta’s lyrics, which is great, but the song really shines in its musicality. It’s heavy as all hell, and as the comments clearly point out, there’s a strong thrash vibe. We heard them play around with their sound a little on their last album, and that turned out great, so hopefully the rest of The Concrete Confessional is just as good, if not better.
