Whitechapel – “Mark of the Blade”

Whitechapel-MarkOfTheBlade

After some speculation and controversy surrounding their sixth studio album, Whitechapel has now confirmed the release date for the new project, which came packaged with the record’s title-song and introductory single, “Mark of the Blade.” Bozeman came out on Twitter last month to announce the completion of the album’s recording process, which was followed a few weeks later with the news that the album would feature some clean vocals from the band’s front man. As someone who was really lukewarm on Our Endless War, I found the news exciting, but unfortunately “Mark of the Blade” feels more like a leftover from their last effort rather than something worth getting excited over.

Mark of the Blade is scheduled for release on June 24th. If you like what you hear, the band has a webpage set up for pre-orders.
