Apathy – “Moses (Feat. Twista & Bun B)”

With everything going on recently, I almost forgot Apathy’s new album Handshakes With Snakes was just around the corner. We received our first taste of the record late last year with “Rap Is Not Pop,” which is a song I was less than enthusiastic about. However, this latest single, “Moses,” has made me a little more hopeful. Produced by Apathy himself, “Moses” is a monstrous song, with an incredible beat, and some stellar verses from three very different emcees. However, these different styles stand out almost to a fault, because everyone seems to be on a completely different page. Bun B in particular sticks out like a sore thumb, though I appreciated the beat change to accommodate his more relaxed delivery. There appears to be an eclectic mix of guests on the entire tracklist, so I’m curious to see how it all pans out in the end.

“Moses” can be found below, and if it tickles your fancy, there’s still time to grab your pre-orders before the album’s June 10th release date.
