Descendents – “Victim Of Me”

I was just starting to get ready for bed and this comes across my timeline?!? At least this week is no longer a total disaster.

It’s been 12 years since we last heard Descendents on their sixth studio album Cool to Be You, and now Bill, Milo, Karl, and Stephen are back, prepping the release of their latest album, Hypercaffium Spazzinate. Alongside the new album also comes a five song EP, Spazzhazard, which acts as a bonus disc to the album itself. This news would have been amazing on its own, but to top things off, fans were given the album’s lead single, “Victim Of Me,” and by all accounts, the band is picking up exactly where they left off. Sure, Milo’s voice has changed since we last heard him–something that plagues a lot of these old Punk bands–but as far as comeback singles go, “Victim Of Me” is charming in its honesty, authenticity, and nostalgia-drenched lead guitars. I don’t know about you, but I’m all in.

Hypercaffium Spazzinate and Spazzhazard are scheduled for release on July 29, 2016. You can listen to “Victim Of Me” below and pre-order the album from various online retailers.
