Yellowcard – “The Hurt Is Gone” (Music Video)

Following the news two months ago that the band would be releasing their final album this September, Yellowcard has released the album’s second single “The Hurt Is Gone.” This new song is more stripped back than the previous single “Rest In Piece,” drawing influence from the band’s ninth album Lift a Sail. During the verses, the guitar is very subdued, almost acoustic, and the drum beat is very laid back and casual. It isn’t until we reach the final chorus where the instrumental becomes more robust, incorporating Yellowcard’s iconic violin into the mix. It seems like the band is looking to encapsulate all of their sounds and styles on this final record, so I’m really interested to hear how it all comes together.
