Load B – “Where I Be”

After hitting us with “Underground” last month, Brill and Milc return with “Where I Be.” Produced by CAB3:16, this latest cut is just as eerie as their last, backed by a creepy keyboard lead and some stuttering hi-hats. The duo’s verses, while nothing incredibly new or innovative, are still as potent as ever, and the dichotomy between the two emcees gives each of their verses a different vibe, even though there are no beat change-ups. Milc’s feels drug-induced and hazy, whereas Brill’s is menacing and confrontational. There’s still no word on whether or not a new project is on the way, but with new two singles in just over a month, it’s looking like a possibility.
