Swim Choir – “Plight”

You know, I’d really appreciate it if Branden made a bigger deal about these singles, because I don’t know where I’ve been, but I completely missed the latest drop from Swim Choir, the side project of IG88. Back in July, Swim Choir resurfaced with “Stay,” a single that got me really excited about the news that a full album was releasing in the winter. While there has been no word on the progress of that album, a month ago he stealth released a new single by the name of “Plight.”

There’s no denying the beauty of this latest offering, with its small piano keys and what I can only assume are waves flowing in the background. To a certain extent, it kind of resembles the work David Housden did for Thomas Was Alone. In what may be a good sign, Branden has switched the artwork on all of his songs on Soundcloud to the above image, which may indicate this is the artwork for the upcoming album. If that’s the case, the release of this untitled album may, in fact, be just around the corner. So keep your eyes peeled, everyone. For now, “Plight” can be streamed below.
