DviousMindZ & Martin Sole – “Water Drops”

For a second there, I thought DviousMindZ was going to take another week off, but he apparently came through yesterday for yet another entry in his Flower City Spring playlist. With some co-production from Martin Sole, “Water Drops” is a very skeletal composition that begins with nothing more than a simple piano melody, followed by some echo-ey finger snaps, both of which continue throughout the length of the song even as the drums and hi-hats get tossed into the mix. While it may not be nearly as intoxicating as last week’s “Eternal Sunshine,” “Water Drops” makes a fine addition to this stellar collection of tracks.
